Job summary

SCAN Health Plan is seeking an AI Engineering Manager to lead architecture, delivery, and team development for enterprise AI solutions. You will partner across business, data, security, and technology to ensure secure, reliable AI products aligned with enterprise priorities.

You will coach engineers, drive secure and compliant AI development, and lead the organization through disciplined delivery rhythms with a focus on observability, release readiness, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Advanced ability to define, govern AI architectures including LLM‑based systems, RAG, vector embeddings, and data integrations.
Ability to lead engineering teams through disciplined delivery practices including design reviews, CI/CD, observability, and support models.
Proficiency with Azure AI Services, Databricks, Snowflake, and integration with Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

Lead hands-on technical contribution and architectural direction for AI platforms.
Develop prototypes and showcase new capabilities on cloud platforms.
Expand AI platform through functional expansions like agent orchestration, knowledge, and data integrations.
Define enterprise-grade AI architectures and set design principles and standards.
Lead SAFe Agile delivery, improve engineering processes, and drive production readiness.
