Job summary

SCAN, a nonprofit health organization, seeks an AI Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise AI solutions that improve operations and member services. You will collaborate with business, data, security, compliance, and technology teams to turn requirements into scalable AI systems.

You will implement LLM-based architectures, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflows, while enforcing responsible AI practices and secure deployment.

Qualifications

• Deep applied understanding of LLM-based architectures and RAG.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying AI-enabled apps and services.
• Proficiency with Azure AI Services and enterprise content platforms.
• Strong Python, REST APIs, and ML/LLMOps tooling.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Design & Engineering: build AI-powered apps and workflows.
• Translate requirements into scalable designs and production-ready solutions.
• Apply software engineering best practices for reliability and secure deployment.
• Develop and integrate AI capabilities using LLMs and agentic frameworks.
• Build data pipelines, APIs, and retrieval patterns for AI apps.
• Support deployment, monitoring, testing, and maintenance of AI solutions.
• Apply responsible AI practices, including transparency and privacy.
