Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is hiring a Backend AI Software Integration Engineer to build a multi-tenant GenAI Security Platform. You’ll focus on Python backend services, API design, data ingestion, and integration hooks across enterprise AI pipelines.

You will implement AI gateways, middleware, and security controls, work with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and MCP, and contribute to scalable cloud and hybrid architectures while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in software engineering or systems integration.
• Production‑level Python for asynchronous backend services.
• Experience with REST, gRPC, WebSockets and API gateways.
• Data mapping and standardization between systems.
• Middleware, webhooks, and retry logic for high‑volume traffic.
• LLM APIs, vector storage, and MCP/LangChain/LlamaIndex integration.
• Ability to create architecture blueprints and secure AI workloads.
• Testing with PyTest/unittest and distributed systems workflows.
• Excellent customer focus and communication.
• BS/MS in CS/CE or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain high‑performance Python microservices.
• Develop API endpoints, webhooks, and data ingestion hooks.
• Build middleware and AI gateway integrations with security controls.
• Create architecture diagrams and integration blueprints for Prisma AIRS.
• Develop pipelines for automated LLM probing and telemetry endpoints.
• Review partner software architecture and provide SDKs/documentation.
