Job summary

Ticketmaster in Phoenix (hybrid) is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer, AI & Automation to join the Global Host Platform team. You will drive automation, AI tooling adoption, and build scalable internal tools powering high-demand onsales.

We expect 8+ years in software engineering, hands-on AI tooling experience, and strong IaC/DevOps background. You will mentor teams, lead AI-driven development, and travel quarterly for in-person trainings and workshops.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience with AI developer tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Agentic AI in development and production is required.
• Strong scripting and infrastructure-as-code tooling (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience with automated VM deployments (VMware).
• Containerization with Docker/Podman and Kubernetes.
• Background in SRE, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality code to accelerate platform automation and reduce tech debt.
• Build internal tools for global scale—scalable and resilient systems.
• Lead adoption of AI-driven workflows and agentic AI development practices.
• Define and evangelize internal standards for automation and code quality.
• Mentor engineers and run on-site trainings and hackathons.
