Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with Product Managers and marketing teams across AWS. You will turn high-friction workflows into AI-first systems where agents and humans collaborate within defined workflows and data contracts.

You will prototype, wire systems, and drive solutions from prototype to production, scaling to serve hundreds of marketers and millions of assets. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role focused on adoption and impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 6+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Strong technical fluency: comfort working directly with engineers, understanding system architectures, and integrating across APIs, MCPs, and data pipelines
• Demonstrated ability to build functional prototypes or near-production artifacts using AI/ML tools, no-code/low-code platforms, or direct coding, not just writing requirements for others to build

Responsibilities

• Build to learn. Turn opportunities into working prototypes using model APIs, agent frameworks, and lightweight code.
• Design the human-agent experience. Define loop, steps, controls, and how marketers interact with agents.
• Turn validated prototypes into production architectures with engineering.
• Own agent quality in production. Define evaluation, monitor drift, and drive improvement.
• Build scaffolding to accelerate the team with reusable patterns and templates.
• Evangelize possibilities. Run workshops to showcase working artifacts and gain co-ownership
