Job summary

Veracity seeks a Lead AI Engineer to be the organization’s foremost technical authority on AI strategy, architecture, and adoption. This role shapes how AI is built and scaled for a nationwide, customer-facing insurance platform, with a focus on governance, guardrails, and efficient AI-powered features.

You will work across engineering, product, and business leadership to define standards, drive AI-enabled outcomes, and ensure scalable, cost-efficient solutions in production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with production AI/ML experience.
• 2+ years building production LLM/GenAI and agentic systems.
• Experience making build-vs-buy decisions at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and the GenAI stack.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Define AI engineering roadmap and architecture standards.
• Lead build-vs-buy decisions and articulations for AI systems.
• Evaluate AI tools, frameworks, and models for leadership.
• Serve as escalation point for complex AI/ML designs.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to align AI with outcomes.
