Job summary

Veracity Insurance Solutions is seeking a Lead AI Engineer in Pleasant Grove, UT. You will serve as the chief technical authority for AI strategy, architecture, and adoption across a customer-facing digital insurance platform serving small business owners nationwide.

This role focuses on systems leadership rather than people management, coordinating across engineering, product, and business leadership to drive high-stakes AI decisions and scalable, cost-efficient production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production AI/ML or LLM/GenAI systems.
• 2+ years building production LLM/GenAI and agentic systems, plus fluency with AI-assisted coding tooling and guardrails.
• Demonstrated track record of rebuilding business processes with AI in an enterprise setting.
• Production experience with LLM/GenAI and agentic systems including orchestration, tool calling, RAG, and structured outputs.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI engineering roadmap and architecture standards across the organization.
• Lead make-or-buy decisions for AI systems and platforms with clear rationale.
• Evaluate new tools and models and provide defensible leadership recommendations.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex AI/ML system design challenges.
• Architect AI solutions for an enterprise platform and ensure clean integration with existing infra.
