Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr. Staff AI Engineer (Remote Eligible) to join the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team.

You will partner with engineers, researchers, technical program managers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products that transform how associates work and how customers interact with Capital One. This role requires 10+ years in AI/ML, strong Python/Java skills, and experience deploying scalable AI systems on cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in a relevant field with extensive AI/ML experience.
• 10+ years programming with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java.
• Experience architecting AI platforms with tradeoffs around cost, latency, throughput, and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy and support AI software components including model training and inference.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams and influence stakeholders up to SVP level.
