Job summary

Veracity Insurance seeks a Lead AI Engineer to shape AI strategy, architecture, and adoption for a nationwide customer-facing platform. You will bridge engineering, product, and business leadership to make high-stakes technical decisions on build vs.

buy, tooling standards, and scalable AI architectures. This role focuses on enterprise AI orchestration, cost-efficient production, and governance with minimal people management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with production AI/ML or LLM/GenAI systems.
• 2+ years building production LLM/GenAI and agentic systems, plus fluency with AI-assisted coding tooling and guardrails.
• Experience rebuilding business processes with AI in an enterprise setting, shipped to production.
• Proficiency in Python and GenAI tool stack; ability to set org-wide standards and guardrails.

Responsibilities

• Define the AI engineering roadmap and architecture standards.
• Lead build vs. buy decisions and justify selections to leadership.
• Establish LLMOps practices, cost and quality observability, and production guardrails.
• Design AI solutions across enterprise platform and ensure clean integration with existing infra.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to align AI capabilities with business outcomes.
