Job summary

Agility Robotics seeks a Senior Director of AI to lead the strategic direction and execution of all AI/ML initiatives for our humanoid robotics platform. Define the AI architecture, ensure ethical implementation, and deliver robust real-time capabilities so our robots interact intelligently and safely with the world.

The role requires leading a high-performing team, advancing MLOps, Sim2Real, and data flywheels while partnering with hardware and robot software leaders.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years in AI/ML with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or directorial role.
• Experience deploying real-time AI solutions for robotics or autonomous systems.
• Strong expertise in computer vision, reinforcement learning, and LLMs applied to robotics.
• Proven track record managing large technical budgets and scaling teams.
• Experience deploying models on edge devices with constrained resources.

Responsibilities

• Define and champion the AI strategy and roadmap aligned with product vision.
• Lead selection and integration of ML models and DL techniques for embodied AI.
• Oversee design, development, and deployment of on-robot and cloud AI systems.
• Establish MLOps for training, deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
• Drive Sim2Real using physics-based simulation for robust policies.
• Drive data flywheel with teleoperation, synthetic data, and fleet learning.
