Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis seeks a Senior Advisor, Agentic AI Solutions and SciML Engineer to turn machine learning, statistics, and AI concepts into practical tools that speed decisions across DDCS. You will design, build, and deploy AI-enabled workflows, agentic scientific systems, and knowledge extraction capabilities that help colleagues convert complex data into actionable decisions.

Qualifications

• Earned Master’s degree with minimum 5 years post-degree experience in Computational/Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Engineering, or related quantitative field (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of applied technical work building AI or ML solutions in Python/R, with ecosystem knowledge (NumPy, pandas, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• 3+ years of expertise in strategic thinking, problem framing, and translating ambiguous needs into AI/workflow solutions.
• Ability to communicate technical recommendations with assumptions, uncertainty, and limitations to scientific, engineering, and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Translate stakeholder needs into practical AI tools, designs, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans for scientific/engineering workflows.
• Develop AI-enabled applications and workflows that integrate models, data sources, and interfaces for decision support.
• Mentor team members on reliable agentic systems, responsible AI, and clear model risk communication.
