Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Agentic AI Solutions within the DDCS team at our Indianapolis, IN campus. The role focuses on translating ML/AI concepts into practical tools that enhance speed, productivity, and impact across the organization.

You will help design AI-enabled workflows, agentic knowledge extraction, and decision-support capabilities, collaborating with scientists, engineers, and data specialists to advance digital transformation efforts.

Qualifications

• Earned PhD in a quantitative field (or equivalent) with up to 5 years of related experience.
• Applied technical work building AI/ML solutions using Python/R and ecosystem tools (NumPy, pandas, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate needs into tractable AI/workflow solutions.
• Strong communication of technical recommendations with assumptions and uncertainties.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI-enabled workflows and agentic scientific systems.
• Develop knowledge extraction systems for structured/unstructured content and regulatory evidence.
• Contribute to data strategy and decision-support through clear visualizations and quantitative business cases.
• Mentor team members on reliable agentic systems and responsible AI practices.
