Job summary

EY Challenger is seeking an experienced engineer to build AI agents that execute complex workflows with deterministic steps, safe autonomy, and robust tools integration. You will design architectures, craft durable context, and ensure verifiable outcomes in enterprise-scale environments.

You will work across product, platform, knowledge, security, and evaluation teams to publish reusable agent patterns and operational lessons, enabling scalable, trustworthy AI services within EY’s Challenger

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
9–12+ years of relevant experience.
Strong record in software or applied ML engineering with production systems.
Hands-on shipping of large-language-model apps, agents, or complex model-driven workflows.

Responsibilities

Design agent architectures using deterministic steps or single-agent loops.
Create connectors and interfaces with clear contracts and validated outcomes.
Shape planning, routing, delegation, and handoff across workflows.
Combine instructions, user state, memory and environment feedback while preserving relevance.
Implement scoped identities and emergency containment for agent control.
Build tests measuring verified task success, tool use, and recovery.
