Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz in hybrid Colorado campus seeks a Senior AI Support Engineer to design, develop, and support AI agents, copilots, and automated workflows across campus systems.

You will partner with Information Strategy and Services to deliver scalable AI solutions, ensure security and governance, and provide trainings and office hours to boost AI literacy. Strong Python, REST APIs and cloud AI platform experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• 2-4 years of professional-level experience designing, building, deploying AI agents and automated workflows that solve real business problems.
• Experience with python, REST APIs, JSON, OAuth, and SQL for application development, data integration, and automation.
• Experience integrating AI agents with enterprise systems using LLM APIs, tool/function calling, MCP, or similar agent connectivity frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy AI agents and automated workflows that solve real business problems.
• Build integrations between AI platforms and campus systems, applications, databases, and knowledge repositories.
• Develop workflows that use AI to automate business processes and improve efficiency.
• Document technical approaches, create SOPs, and contribute to training materials.
