Job summary

Plona Partners seeks a senior AI advisor within the Legal Technology & Enablement function to accelerate AI adoption across the firm. You will work directly with partners and senior attorneys to translate AI capabilities into practical solutions for day-to-day practice and client relationships.

This senior role requires exceptional communication, relationship-building, and training skills, with a hybrid in-office schedule (3–4 days/week) across West Coast offices and Texas. Travel to other U.S.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in legal technology, innovation, enablement, knowledge management or similar advisory function.
• Experience in a law firm or knowledge-driven environment preferred.
• Strong practical fluency with generative AI tools.
• Ability to apply AI to legal/knowledge-work workflows.
• Understand how law firm partners lead teams and manage matters.
• Identify where AI can improve workflows without overcomplication.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and influencing skills.
• Build credibility with partners and senior lawyers.
• Experience driving technology adoption among senior professionals.
• Translate tech concepts into clear guidance for non-technical audiences.
• Build training programs and materials from scratch.
• Experience delivering training to senior professional audiences.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation and relationship-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to other U.S. offices.

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior AI advisor to partners across the firm’s West Coast and Texas offices.
• Build trusted relationships with partners and senior attorneys.
• Orient partners to available AI tools, licenses, access and suitability.
• Receive, triage, and track partner/attorney requests to ensure follow-through.
• Facilitate desk-side coaching and small-group sessions on practical AI use.
• Develop session outlines, curricula, and worked examples for AI tools.
• Contribute materials and workflows to the broader AI Enablement team.
• Develop AI-enabled solutions aligned to how partners and teams work.
• Engage internal AI teams for more advanced solutions as needed.
• Create AI talking points and client-facing presentations.
