Job summary

Syngenta Group in Waterloo, NE is seeking an Agronomic Research Scientist to lead comprehensive agronomic studies on corn and soybean varieties, delivering value-added content that strengthens the NK and Golden Harvest brand positioning as trusted agronomic advisors in the marketplace.

The role requires 5+ years in a commercial or R&D agronomy context, with Ph.D. and/or MS preferred, strong data analysis, and the ability to coach field teams and collaborate across sales and agronomy units.

Qualifications

• Ph.D./MS in Agronomy preferred.
• 5+ years in commercial or R&D agronomy.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of seed technologies and crop protection.

Responsibilities

• Lead agronomic research studies on corn and soybean varieties.
• Deliver value-added agronomic content to strengthen NK and Golden Harvest branding.
• Manage field activities: planting, mapping, data collection, and supervision of part-time staff.
• Coach and develop research personnel across multiple sites.
