You will develop team capabilities, manage budgets, recruit staff, and partner with cross‑functional teams to meet program milestones and deliver high‑quality data. This role emphasizes safety, continuous improvement, and leadership in a dynamic agricultural research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or related field preferred.
• Minimum five years in corn/soybean research management.
• Proven leadership and team development experience.
• Strong data collection and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead corn and soybean Operations & Testing teams at sites.
• Standardize protocols and best practices to align with objectives.
• Ensure timely field activities and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Design benchmarking strategies to monitor performance.
• Develop strategy for research equipment utilization and safety.
• Promote collaboration across station managers and researchers.
• Manage operating budgets and allocated resources to meet objectives.
• Champion the GDM Mission and Values in Breeding Operations and Research.
• Recruit, hire, and develop team members to build high-performing workforce.
• Ensure PPE and safety protocol adherence.
• Other duties as assigned.
