Job summary

Syngenta is seeking a Field Operations Manager to plan, lead, and deliver corn seed production programs across contracted growers and company locations. You will translate crop plans into field schedules, lead agronomists and technicians, manage labor relations, and ensure safety, quality, and on-time execution.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least five years in seed-production agronomy, with strong leadership and data-driven decision skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, Agriculture, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of seed-production agronomy or field-crop management experience.
• Experience leading people, vendors, and operational teams in agricultural settings.
• Experience translating crop plans into seasonal field-execution plans and managing multiple priorities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Own grower relationship strategy including recruitment, onboarding, contracting, retention, and performance management.
• Translate crop plans into executable field-production plans, including variety placement and planting schedules.
• Lead and develop agronomists and field technicians; set priorities and expectations.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across sites and functions to align field execution with business priorities.
• Oversee field activities such as detasseling, pollination, harvest, and related labor relationships; ensure safety and quality.
