Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is hiring an Account Executive Officer, Agribusiness in the United States. You will partner with agents and brokers to place coverage for new and renewal business, assess risk, and drive profitability in a demanding market.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, 6–8 years of underwriting experience in commercial lines, strong negotiations and communication skills, and is willing to travel to meet partners. CPCU is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with commercial lines.
• Deep knowledge of commercial lines products and regulatory environment.
• Strong critical thinking to identify and resolve underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges.
• Excellent communication skills for negotiations with agents and brokers.
• Valid driver's license or alternate transportation.
• CPCU designation is preferred in some lines of business.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts aligned with risk appetite; travel as needed.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director to shape regional plans.
• Mentor less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
