Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Aurora, CO seeks an Agile System Engineer III to provide technical leadership for systems engineering activities across Agile teams, ensuring mission alignment, architectural integrity, and delivery discipline. This role is based in Aurora, Colorado.

The ideal candidate has TS/SCI with Poly, a BS in a related field, and 10+ years of experience, with preference for SAFe/INCOSE/CSEP certifications and experience coordinating multi-team Agile efforts within a government context.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years of systems engineering experience.
TS/SCI with Poly Required.
Experience with distributed multi-team Agile environments.
Certifications in SAFe, INCOSE, or CSEP preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end systems engineering within Agile delivery frameworks.
Define and manage system-level requirements, dependencies, and technical risks.
Guide decomposition of complex mission needs into scalable Agile backlogs.
Serve as primary systems engineering interface to government stakeholders and technical leadership.
Ensure architectural alignment, interface consistency, and integration readiness.
Oversee requirements traceability, verification strategy, and system acceptance.
Mentor junior and mid level systems engineers.
Support program reviews, technical roadmaps, and long range planning.
