Job summary

Zendesk is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer in San Francisco to design and implement agentic AI-driven customer workflows and scalable integrations. You will lead deep technical discovery, craft production-grade accelerators, and serve as the CTO-level technical authority through the sales cycle.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering to align field feedback with the roadmap, travel 30–50% as needed, and apply AI, cloud, and IT infrastructure expertise to enterprise CX solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field or equivalent.
• 5+ years in technical presales, solution engineering, or system architecture in enterprise SaaS.
• Proficiency with modern web technologies and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Deep knowledge of AI/Large Language Models and prompt engineering.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, CCaaS, telephony or ITSM.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% annually.

Responsibilities

• Architect Agentic AI workflows and integrations with LLMs and automation frameworks.
• Lead technical architecture discovery and AI readiness assessments.
• Build reusable accelerators, templates, and API components for scale.
• Own the technical sales lifecycle from qualification to execution.
• Bridge product strategy with field feedback and regional roadmaps.
