Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an AI & Data Engineer III to drive technology-focused client delivery across complex engagements. You will design and build agentic AI solutions using Claude, orchestrate agents, integrate tools, and manage production deployments.

Role requires 4+ years in production AI/ML, Python expertise, and experience leading workstreams. Travel up to 50% and potential immigration sponsorship may be available, with a competitive compensation range.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and delivering production AI/ML solutions.
• 2+ years hands-on experience developing AI/ML apps in Python.
• 1+ year designing/implementing production agentic workflows with orchestration, tool integration, state management, evaluation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• 1+ year developing agentic AI solutions using the Claude Agent SDK (agent orchestration, tool integration, permissions, MCP integrations).
• 1+ year deploying production solutions using Anthropic Claude models via native Anthropic API or cloud platform.
• 1+ year applying prompt engineering, context engineering, structured outputs to improve AI solutions.
• 1+ year leading project workstreams or engagements and delivering measurable outcomes.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day interactions with client stakeholders as the primary technical contact.
• Design and build Generative AI and agentic solutions with Claude, including agent orchestration and MCP integrations.
• Deliver components of engagements from design through production rollout.
• Lead small teams through requirements gathering, design, process mapping, and support-model definition.
• Develop and maintain project scope, schedule, and resource plans and adjust as needed.
• Monitor progress, identify variances, and drive corrective actions.
• Manage scope, schedule, and cost changes per engagement processes.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigations.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and leadership.
• In client engagements, design/build agentic AI solutions, automate processes, and modernize AI/data platforms.
