Job summary

Deloitte is seeking an AI and Data Engineer III to drive technology-focused client delivery across complex engagements, designing and building agentic AI solutions powered by Claude and integrating tools.

You will lead projects, collaborate with client stakeholders, and oversee design, prototyping, testing, and production rollout, while managing scope and timelines.

The role emphasizes responsible AI practices, model selection, and delivering measurable outcomes for large-scale clients.

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing, and delivering production AI/ML solutions, incl. 1+ year in production Generative/Agentic AI.
• 2+ years hands-on experience developing AI/ML applications in Python.
• 1+ year designing/implementing production agentic workflows (orchestration, tool integration, state mgmt, guardrails, human-in-the-loop).
• 1+ year hands-on experience with Claude Agent SDK (agent orchestration, tool integration, permissions, MCP).
• 1+ year hands-on experience deploying Anthropic Claude models via native API or cloud platform.
• 1+ year applying prompt engineering and context engineering to improve AI solutions.
• 1+ years leading project workstreams translating business problems into AI solutions.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/Engineering/Data Science/AI or related field.
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average.
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day interactions with client stakeholders as the primary technical contact.
• Design and build Generative AI and agentic solutions using Claude, including agent orchestration and tool integrations.
• Deliver components of engagements from design, prototyping, testing, to production rollout.
• Lead small teams through requirements gathering, design, process mapping, and support-model definition.
• Develop and maintain project scope, schedule, and resource plans and adjust as needed.
• Monitor progress, identify variances, and drive corrective action.
• Manage changes to scope, schedule, and cost per engagement process.
• Identify risks, assumptions, and mitigations to protect delivery.
• Maintain clear communication with client stakeholders and internal leadership.
• Design and build agentic AI solutions from PoC to production deployment.
• Implement multi-agent systems that automate processes and integrate with enterprise tools.
• Modernize AI/Data platforms to include Generative AI capabilities.
• Advise clients on Generative AI adoption strategy and responsible AI practices.
• Partner with client technology, data, and business stakeholders to scope and deliver AI solutions.
