Job summary

Antora Energy in San Jose, CA is seeking an Associate General Counsel to lead the legal work behind its transition from technology development to commercial-scale deployment.

You will own the full range of commercial and project agreements—offtake and energy sales, EPC and O&M, equipment supply, interconnection, site control, and partnerships—while spearheading project financings, tax equity structures, and co-investor arrangements with the CFO and CBO.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of legal experience spanning a top-tier law firm foundation and senior in-house leadership.
• Deep project development and finance expertise in energy with closed financings and tax equity structures.
• Commercial judgment informed by business-side experience in energy development.
• Team and stakeholder leadership across attorneys, across engineering, finance and commercial teams.
• Experience with hardware-intensive projects, supply chains, interconnection and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AI tools in legal practice and willingness to drive adoption.
• Autonomy in fast-paced environments with minimal oversight and on-site commitment.
• Willingness to be onsite at San Jose facility on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate and draft commercialyard and project agreements (offtake, energy sales, EPC, O&M, equipment supply, interconnection, site control, partnerships).
• Lead legal workstreams for project financings (debt, tax equity, co-investment); manage financial closings end-to-end.
• Advise executive team on transaction structure, legal risk and commercial terms with actionable recommendations.
• Support corporate financings, governance, and entity structuring with CFO/CBO and the existing AGC.
• Conduct and manage legal due diligence on projects, counterparties, and partnerships.
• Select and manage outside counsel for specialist matters; own legal spend for these workstreams.
• Contribute to building the legal function (templates, playbooks, processes) and grow the team as volume increases.
