Job summary

ProMach, a leading packaging equipment company in the United States, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to apply engineering principles to machinery, develop BOMs, and troubleshoot electrical systems across manufacturing and installation stages. The role requires 3+ years of electrical design experience, proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, and knowledge of PLC/HMI logic and motor drives.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering; Masters preferred.
Minimum 3+ years practical experience in electrical design and/or application engineering.
Familiar with UL, NEMA and CE code.
Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical design software.
Knowledge of electrical design standards, PLC & HMI logic, servo/AC/DC motors, electrical power distribution.
Flexible and dedicated to doing what it takes to get the job done.
Ability to effectively prioritize duties and handle multiple projects concurrently to meet deadlines.
Excellent computer skills – Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ERP Systems (Syteline).
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently or harmoniously within a team along with superiors, peers and internal/external customers

Responsibilities

Apply design engineering knowledge to machinery principles, materials, and manufacturing processes to meet requirements.
Interface with team members, project managers and customers to clarify specifications.
Operate computer-assisted design software to perform engineering tasks.
Work with panel shop technicians to ensure panel assembly and wiring meet standards.
Construct accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) based on designs and cost targets.
Troubleshoot and debug machine systems during manufacturing and testing.
Provide on-site and off-site technical support for electrical issues during installation and start-up.
Write maintenance procedures for control panels and electrical systems.
Manage electronic files and databases to Axon standards.
Communicate with Sales, Purchasing, Production and Aftermarket on specs and problem solving.
Analyze and prioritize projects per Director of Engineering.
Coordinate with all departments to ensure on-time delivery and quality.
Revise parts and BOMs to keep drawings current and issue change notifications.
Review project milestones to ensure timely execution.
