Job summary

ProMach's P.E. Labellers division is seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to design, develop, program, and support electrical control systems used on rotary and linear labeling equipment.

You will create, review, and release accurate electrical schematics, panel layouts, and documentation while advancing PLC/HMI programming across projects. The role emphasizes motion control, industrial networks, and machine safety, with collaboration across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field as a baseline requirement.
• 5–7 years in electrical design, controls, industrial automation, or applications engineering; packaging machinery preferred.
• Strong experience with PLC/HMI programming and various control platforms.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and electrical documentation practices.
• Familiarity with UL, NEC, NFPA 79, NEMA and CE requirements for industrial equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical control panels, wiring, power distribution, and control architectures to meet standards.
• Develop, troubleshoot, and modify PLC/HMI applications and motion control systems.
• Create and release electrical schematics, panel layouts, BOMs, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to clarify specs and ensure on-time delivery.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support during installation, startup, and commissioning.
• Maintain engineering records and support continuous-improvement initiatives.
