Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years experience in school-based or community-based after-school programs, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Experience overseeing multiple programs, budgets, and staff.
• Proven ability to collaborate with school leadership, families, and community stakeholders.
• Knowledge of NYC public education system and NYS Learning Standards.
• Experience designing and evaluating lesson plans and structured youth programming.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of DYCD COMPASS after-school, holiday, and summer programs.
• Ensure programs meet DYCD, DOH, and Grand St. Settlement standards.
• Provide leadership and coaching to site management teams.
• Manage part-time staff scheduling, supervision, and development.
• Maintain liaison role with schools, families, and community partners.
