National CORE in Rancho Cucamonga, CA is seeking a Senior Compliance Specialist to support affordable housing portfolios. You will review regulatory agreements, coordinate with owners and managers, and ensure compliance across funding sources and reports.

Responsibilities include audits, training new staff, updating income limits and rents, and generating compliance documentation for regulators and clients.

Formación

• Two to three years’ experience as a Compliance Specialist or four years of affordable blended property management experience.
• Two years’ experience with resident ledger corrections, subsidy charges, and lease charges.
• Two years’ experience with internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Extensive knowledge of affordable housing programs.
• LIHTC, HUD, BOS & HOME certifications, or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience with affordable housing funding agencies, ownership entities, and management companies.
• Strong mathematical proficiency and ability to work independently.
• Experience with Yardi is preferred and familiarity with Windows/Office.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews property specific Regulatory Agreements and ensures internal systems align with funding and reporting requirements.
• Acts as primary point of contact with Compliance team and external property owners.
• Updates income limits, rents and utility allowances in internal systems.
• Provides secondary review for files with heightened compliance risk.
• Reviews resident files for income qualification and ongoing compliance.
• Works with property management for audits and external regulatory reviews.
• Conducts property-specific compliance training for newly hired staff.
• Assists with annual rent increases and subsidy charges on resident ledgers.
• Produces reports and documentation for owners and regulatory authorities.
• Supports clients with special projects and 100% file audits.
• Proactively identifies and resolves noncompliance issues.
• Collaborates with other departments and clients, and works overtime as needed.
