Job summary

National Community Renaissance seeks a Junior Compliance Specialist to support affordable housing portfolios by ensuring compliance with regulatory agreements and applicable laws. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment of funding sources, rents, and reporting requirements.

You will review income qualification, produce required documents, and proactively address any noncompliance issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience as a Lead Compliance Auditor or two years in affordable housing property management.
• Certifications: LIHTC, HUD and BOS or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Review property-specific Regulatory Agreements to identify funding sources and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Compliance Team and external property owners.
• Update internal systems for income limits, rents and utility allowances.
• Review prospective resident files for income qualification and ongoing compliance.
• Produce reports and documentation for owners and regulatory authorities.
• Identify and resolve noncompliance matters.
• Collaborate with other departments, team members, and clients.
• Address issues promptly and efficiently.
• May travel for professional development and meetings.
