Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Dedicated Affordable Assurance Manager to serve as the primary compliance lead for assigned client portfolios. You will monitor compliance performance, identify regulatory risks, coordinate audit readiness, and partner with internal and client stakeholders to ensure high-quality affordable housing operations.

Responsibilities include oversight of LIHTC, HUD, HOME, Bond, Rural Development, and HCV/PBRA programs, providing guidance to Operations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of affordable housing compliance, audit, risk management, or related property management compliance.
• Experience with LIHTC, HUD, HOME, Bond, Rural Development, and layered affordable housing programs.
• Ability to interpret regulatory agreements and manage properties with multiple affordability layers.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to assigned communities, meetings, audits, and site visits.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary compliance assurance contact for client portfolios and leadership.
• Monitor portfolio compliance across LIHTC, HUD, HOME, Bond, Rural Development, HCV/PBRA, and related programs.
• Identify compliance trends, deficiencies, gaps, and regulatory risks.
• Coordinate internal compliance resources for audit readiness and corrective action.
• Provide practical regulatory guidance to Operations, Compliance Directors, site teams, and clients.
• Escalate significant concerns to leadership with recommended solutions.
• Maintain proactive client relationships and ongoing communication on compliance status.
