As the Senior Aerospace Transparencies Production Supervisor with PPG’s Aerospace business, you will have direct supervisory responsibility for a designated production area as part of our growing team. You will play a key role in ensuring safety and meeting our production schedules. Working with other supervisors and your production team, you will produce essential components for cutting-edge applications in the aerospace industry.

This is an onsite position at our Grand Prairie, TX facility. You will report directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and support an assigned Production Area including safety, team focus on risk reduction, and improvements.
2. Plan daily work, assign resources, and monitor results.
3. Hire, mentor, counsel, and coach employees related to performance and company policies and procedures.
4. Prioritize and maintain production progress including workflow by observing steps in process, constraints in flow and equipment, monitoring staffing and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, and facilitating corrections and recovery efforts of flow.
5. Compile reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
6. Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
7. Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions, and responding to requests.

Qualifications:

1. 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory role in the manufacturing industry required.
2. High school Diploma or equivalent education degree required.
3. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
4. Skilled in employee leadership or supervision, coaching, employee engagement, and mentorship required.
5. Ability to manage processes and process change, resource planning, and production planning required.
6. Previous experience with Lean Methodology, process improvement, and 5S preferred.
7. Must be U.S. Citizen.
