Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies is seeking a senior mechanical systems designer to develop complex aircraft modifications, ensuring fit and function for air conditioning, ventilation, smoke detection, oxygen, potable water, wastewater, vacuum waste, and refrigerant systems. You will work with CAD tools to meet customer requirements, budgets, and FAA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Aviation background and aircraft interior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Designs complex modifications of mechanical systems installations.
• Designs system schematics and architecture to meet requirements and function of system.
• Analyzes and interprets subsystem and project specifications.
• Applies experience to optimize designs for reduced parts, cost, and manufacturing effort.
• Ensures designs meet customer criteria, quality standards and FAA requirements.
• Supports aircraft testing preparation and test plan/report development.
