Job summary

Greenpoint Technologies in Bothell, WA is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to support the design and modification of aircraft mechanical systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, smoke detection, equipment cooling, oxygen, potable water, wastewater, vacuum waste, and refrigerant systems. You will use CAD tools and work under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field; 2 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• FAA/aviation background preferred and knowledge of industry standards.
• Proficiency with CAD tools (Inventor, AutoCAD) and basic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support design and analysis of aircraft mechanical system modifications under guidance.
• Review subsystem specifications and apply established design requirements.
• Select materials and components per engineering specs.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to ensure manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
• Develop BOM knowledge and understand fabrication and assembly processes.
• Verify designs meet customer requirements, quality standards, and FAA requirements.
• Complete tasks within project schedules and report status to the team.
• Build CAD skills through increasingly complex assignments.
• Reslove routine issues with standard methods; escalate for complex ones.
• Assist liaison engineering, investigate and resolve design/installation issues.
