Job summary

Divergent is hiring a Senior Structures Engineer to support the full lifecycle of aerospace vehicle development. You will create CAD models and FE models, perform structural analyses, and collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to optimize weight, cost, and performance.

The role emphasizes work on innovative materials and new production technologies within a fast-paced, industry-leading environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• CAD and PLM experience.
• Experience with Nastran, Optistruct, LS-Dyna, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of aerospace structures and materials.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD models, FE models, and BOMs for aerospace structures.
• Perform structural analysis, validation, and optimization activities.
• Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams.
• Maintain engineering documentation and support product releases.
• Contribute to process, weight, and cost improvement initiatives.
