Job summary

Divergent is hiring a Structural Analysis Engineer to advance aerospace and automotive structures using the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS). You will develop and validate FE models, perform nonlinear and multi‑physics analyses, and partner with design, manufacturing, test, and product engineering to deliver manufacturable, high‑performance solutions.

Senior/Lead/Principal levels expected to mentor others, define CAE standards, and influence program decisions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for cross‑functional work.
• Experience with nonlinear structural analysis and CAE tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and optimize FE models for structural components and systems.
• Perform linear and nonlinear analyses including crash, durability, and multi‑physics simulations.
• Validate results with hand calculations and physical testing.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Materials, and Test Engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to CAE methodologies.
