Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks a Sr Advanced Project Engineer to lead complex aerospace projects in Tempe/Tucson with a hybrid schedule. You will manage schedules, budgets, resources and vendor coordination, advancing CPCS/ECS programs through IPDS and DOORS-based requirements.

You will develop SOWs, perform cost estimation, and deliver status reports for leadership reviews, while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with aerospace standards and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 5+ years customer requirements management using formal tracking systems (DOORS, PTS, Clearcase).
• 5+ years developing CPCS / ECS aerospace systems.
• SME in aircraft integration and certification.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Project Planning & Management with schedules, budgets, resources, and EVMS tracking.
• Engineering Development Leadership driving projects through full lifecycle using IPDS.
• SOW Development for engineering teams, vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Program Review Support with status reports and executive presentations.
• Phase Gate & Compliance Management with PECA artifacts and gate exit deliverables.
• Proposal Development & Cost Estimation supporting business pursuits.
• IMS Management with schedule and cost performance metrics (SPI, CPI, EV).
• Executive & Customer Presentations communicating status, risks and technical info.
• Requirements Management using CPCS/DOORS/PTS/ClearCase.
• Model-Based Development with HAM, MATLAB/Simulink.
• Test Planning & Validation and Test Execution & Analysis.
• System Integration and Verification activities.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship to engineering teams.
• Aerospace Standards Knowledge DO-160/DO-178/DO-254/ARP4754/ARP4761.
