Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to oversee divisional programs within Parker Aerospace's Military Flight Controls Division. You will ensure schedules, costs, resources, risk management, and contract changes align with customer commitments.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex, multi-site programs, and act as the primary customer contact to drive successful deliveries and program performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business or a related field; PMP certification required, typically within 6 months of assignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects/programs of varying complexity and scope; cross-functional leadership experience preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of program management processes, methodology, and architecture; ability to manage customer relationships and negotiations.
  • Proficient in business applications and financial/risk analysis tools; capable of presenting program information to management and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures customer requirements are met and are in Parker's best interests by creating the program charter, baseline plan, and other program management components.
  • Responsible for integrated program schedules, data integration, tracking of financial and quality performance, and corrective actions.
  • Leads the development of program plans covering mature and new product development programs; directs all phases of programs.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact to the program's customer and negotiates contract changes related to scope.
  • Organizes and leads programs by defining required expertise and managing plans, budgets, staffing, and development of staff.
  • Oversees task planning on programs including resource requirements; communicates priorities and requirements to functional areas.
  • Maintains strong customer relationships and serves as the primary point of contact for program activities and problem resolution.
  • Acts as presenter and facilitator at major program reviews; ensures actions are tracked and communicated.
  • Provides mentorship in program management and leadership to project teams.
  • Keeps professional and technical knowledge current through workshops and industry engagement.
