Job summary

Muon Space is seeking a Senior Program Manager for commercial payloads to lead program execution, manage cost and schedule baselines, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of contracts with U.S. Government and commercial customers.

You will collaborate with engineering, business, legal, finance and operations teams, supporting growth through existing contracts and new captures, with a hybrid schedule in San Jose (3 days in office).

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant experience in program management.
• B.S. in an engineering discipline; M.S. or Ph.D. preferred.
• Track record of delivering complete systems (hardware, firmware, software, algorithms) on time and to scope.
• Experience in development and/or program management of satellite-based systems with integrated master schedules.
• Expertise in modern cloud-based productivity tools.
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Experience in vendor and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary aerospace development effort and drive day-to-day program execution.
• Coordinate resources with internal and external stakeholders to plan and execute the program.
• Establish tools, practices, and processes to synchronize a diverse technical team.
• Participate in technical discussions and drive scoping, schedules, and solutions to issues.
• Track and report program metrics on schedule, resources, cost, risk, and technical performance.
• Represent the company to customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
