Job summary

Sierra Space in Centennial, Colorado is seeking a Material Planner III with a strong background in material planning to support production schedules and optimize inventory.

You will collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering, manage ERP/MRP data, identify system improvements, and lead cost-reduction projects. This role requires 5+ years in material planning in manufacturing, preferably aerospace, with expertise in Excel, SQL, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +3 yrs experience).
• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and implementing demand scheduling tools.
• Highly skilled with ERP, MRP, Excel, SQL.
• Material Planning experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace or Automotive.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, procurement, engineering) to align material planning with production schedules and project requirements.
• Utilize ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL to manage and analyze material requirements, inventory levels, and procurement activities.
• Identify and lead projects aimed at enhancing systems and processes, while monitoring material usage, lead times, and supplier performance.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve issues related to quality, delivery or pricing.
• Prepare and present reports on material planning and inventory performance to management.
