Job summary

Sierra Space is seeking a Material Planner III to drive material planning for complex programs and collaborate with production, procurement, and engineering teams. You will use ERP/MRP, Excel, and SQL to optimize inventory, lead times, and procurement activities while leading process improvement projects.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, training of junior staff, and alignment with production schedules to meet program milestones.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree orMasters +3 yrs experience).
• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and implementing demand scheduling tools.
• Highly skilled with ERP, MRP, Excel, SQL.
• Material Planning experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace or Automotive.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage material requirements to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve issues.
• Analyze inventory levels and supplier performance for cost reduction.
• Lead projects to enhance systems and processes and train junior team members.
• Prepare reports on material planning and inventory performance for management.
