Job summary

Davis Machine in Euless, Texas seeks a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing planning from quoting through production release, applying hands-on shop floor experience to estimate machining requirements and develop efficient production plans.

You will review drawings and specs, resolve pre-production issues, and coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure requirements are understood and projects stay on track, with engineering support after release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Aerospace / Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years in aerospace manufacturing engineering with machined components.
• Fluent in engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T and PMI/MBD; identify features and process needs.
• Experience with multi-axis machining, workholding and cutting tools for planning with programmers.
• Experience leading customer engineering meetings and technical correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing planning from quoting through production release.
• Review drawings, specifications, and flowdowns; identify processes and risks.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure requirements are understood.
• Provide engineering support after production release and resolve technical questions.
• Execute change control and document deviations using standard templates.
• Manage nonconformance disposition in collaboration with Quality and Engineering.
