Job summary

Davis Machine in Euless, TX, seeks an Engineering Manager for aerospace machining. You will lead the engineering group, define CAM standards (Mastercam for new work, CATIA V5 for legacy), and own process, tooling, and staffing decisions. This is a build-role reporting to the General Manager.

First shift with extended hours near deadlines; ITAR/EAR compliance and security clearances may apply. Competitive compensation in the stated range plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years in aerospace machining.
• Experience leading programmers or engineers.
• Hands-on multi-axis programming in Mastercam/CATIA V5.
• Knowledge of AS9102 first article requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engineering throughput: new parts released to first cut within 60 days of engineering release.
• Quoting: ownership of engineering estimates for new work on a quoting platform.
• Customer engineering: deviations and dispositions coordinated with Staff Engineer.
• Staffing: recruiting and developing programmers and the Manufacturing Engineer.
• Standards: CAM standard, tool library, and change control for process/software.
• Priority: manage engineering queue and promise dates, shield from unplanned work.
