Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Aeronautical Engineer in Melbourne, FL, focused on Fluid Subsystems design. You will design ECS, LCS, fuel, and hydraulic systems, and layout bracketry for integration with aircraft structures.

The role requires a STEM degree with relevant experience, 3D CAD proficiency, and an active Secret clearance. Collaboration across IPTs will be essential in a fast-paced development environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree (Bachelor’s) with 2+ years experience, or Master’s with no experience.
• Principal level requires 5+ years, Master’s with 3 years, or PhD with no experience.
• Prior experience with 3D CAD software applications.
• Active in-scope U.S. Government Secret Clearance; ability to obtain program access.

Responsibilities

• Design tubes/ducts and routing for ECS, LCS, fuel, and hydraulic systems.
• Design secondary structural elements to attach fluidic components to aircraft.
• Perform design tasks using NX and Teamcenter tool suite.
• Integrate subsystems into aircraft applications and coordinate with IPTs.
• Apply GD&T to models for producibility and manufacturability.
• Verify airworthiness criteria and participate in reviews.
