Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Aeronautical Engineer (Fluid Subsystems Analyst)/Principal Aeronautical Engineer (Fluids Subsystems Analyst) to join the Melbourne, FL team. The role involves analyzing fluid subsystem performance and supporting flight tests, along with model validation for configuration updates.
Position may be filled at Level 2 or Level 3 based on qualifications, with opportunities to contribute to architecture, testing, and system integration in a dynamic
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in STEM from an accredited university with 2+ years' experience for Level 2 or Master's with 0 years for Level 2.
- Bachelor's in STEM with 5+ years or Master's with 3+ years for Level 3.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain SAP clearance prior to employment.
- Experience designing, analyzing, or architecting fluid/mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze fluid subsystems performance data using AMESIM for hydraulics, fuel, ECS, and liquid cooling.
- Post-process lab, supplier, and flight test data with MATLAB and Excel.
- Generate test procedures and correlate system models to test data.
- Support subsystems architecture and sizing of fluid layouts for existing and new designs.
- Verify system requirements via analysis, demonstration, inspection, and test.
