Job summary

The Boeing Company in the St. Louis, MO area is seeking an Experienced or Senior Aerodynamics Engineer to support propulsion system qualification and analysis.

The role focuses on aerodynamic/aerothermodynamics design and test planning, with opportunities to drive new technologies and improve vehicle performance while collaborating across teams. Eligible candidates may be on a career track toward senior engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or related field.
• 5+ years work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination.
• Level 4 requires 9+ years work-related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Performs aerodynamic/aerothermodynamics design and analysis of flight vehicles to meet requirements.
• Contributes to developing new and improving existing technologies, tools and processes to enhance readiness and performance.
• Develops and coordinates test requirements to meet objectives using established processes.
• Assesses impact of proposed regulations on cost, performance, producibility and safety.
• Supports certification and qualification processes of aerodynamic/aero-thermal characteristics of flight vehicles.
• Assists in training others.
• Works under general supervision.
