Job summary

Boeing Defense, Space & Security in the St. Louis area is seeking a Propulsion Engineer to contribute to development and qualification of a new propulsion system for a cutting-edge fixed-wing program.

You will be part of a Flight Sciences team working on inlet development, engine integration, testing and qualification. Opportunities span across different experience levels, including Experienced and Senior Propulsion Engineer roles, with 100% onsite work and travel up to 10% domestically as

Qualifications

BS in engineering or related field required.
5+ years work experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Level 4 requires 9+ years work experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Defines requirements for propulsion systems within a model-based engineering environment.
Coordinates interfaces between propulsion system and vehicle.
Configures propulsion sub-systems and components to meet design specs.
Leads testing, analysis, modelling, and simulation to predict and validate performance.
Performs verification tests for propulsion sub-systems and components.
Reviews and approves engine and component qualification documentation.
Assists with propulsion ground and flight test planning.
Propulsion vendor management and coordination.
