Job summary

Boeing is seeking Experienced or Senior Mechanical System Design Engineers to develop, maintain and modify air vehicle subsystems for aerospace programs in the St. Louis region. Roles involve 3-D CAD tools, cross-functional collaboration, and lifecycle product support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials)
  • Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or equivalent
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent
  • Experience using NX / Teamcenter and reading 2-D drawings
  • U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance; ability to obtain interim/full clearance
  • Some roles may require Special Program Access; U.S. Citizenship only

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate and document air vehicle subsystems requirements to establish the system design
  • Develop, maintain and modify air vehicle subsystem and component designs for product definition across lifecycle
  • Lead and validate tests to verify systems meet requirements and specifications
  • Manage supplier development, test and production activities to optimize design and schedule
  • Assist with emerging technology investigations for future product designs
  • Work under minimal direction or general direction
