Redwire Corporation in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Aero-Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of complex mechanical systems for uncrewed aerial systems (UAS). You will own major subsystems and guide design reviews, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability throughout the lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams, and drive continuous improvement across programs.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
Hands-on experience owning major subsystems or assemblies.
Experience in aerospace/defense or regulated environments.
Prototype, production, and test activity experience.
Advanced CAD modeling and drafting proficiency (SolidWorks preferred).
Deep GD&T and drawing standards knowledge.
Familiarity with materials, composites, and structural integration.
Experience performing FEA and design optimization.
Experience with PDM/PLM systems (SolidWorks PDM, Windchill).
Strong technical leadership and collaborative skills.
Excellent communication across multi-disciplinary teams.
Problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities.

Mansioni

Lead design, modeling, and analysis of major mechanical subsystems for UAS.
Perform tolerance analysis, structural analysis (FEA), and material selection.
Oversee design documentation, drawing release, and configuration management.
Coordinate design integration across mechanical, electrical, and software.
Guide prototype builds and address manufacturability and fit issues.
Develop and execute test plans to validate structure and system performance.
Lead design reviews (CoDR, PDR, CDR) and implement feedback.
Support production readiness and quality verification for new and existing products.
Mentor junior engineers and CAD specialists; promote best practices.
Contribute to design standards, configuration management, and docs.
