Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a senior software engineer to drive development, performance, and scalability of the NVIDIA Aerial CUDA Accelerated RAN platform. The role focuses on building a ground-breaking end-to-end reference stack for 5G/6G baseband systems on NVIDIA CPU/GPU/DPU platforms.

You will optimize subsystems for low latency and maximum throughput, work with cross-functional teams, and implement new baseband functions in C/C++/Python/CUDA.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Telecommunications (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of work-related proven experience in software development, systems engineering.
• Experience developing PHY/MAC or baseband software in C/C++.
• Understanding of PHY/MAC layer procedures and performance tradeoffs, and overall system performance.
• Exposure to CUDA/GPU programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and develop end-to-end reference system stack for 5G/6G baseband systems.
• Optimize CPU, GPU and NIC subsystems for low latency and high throughput; collaborate to resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Develop software in C/C++/ Python/CUDA on GPU platforms; support system integration and lab trials.
• Serve as a technical bridge between engineering teams and partners/customers engineering teams.
• Engage with customer field trials and develop tools for Aerial SDK evaluation.
