Novo Nordisk in Plainsboro, NJ, is seeking a Senior Application Architect to lead the team designing and implementing AEM solutions that support digital transformation and business goals. You will ensure scalable architectures and guide issue resolution for production problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
• 8 years of software development experience, with at least 5 years in AEM development and architecture.
• Hands-on experience with AEM Sites, AEM Assets and AEM Forms.
• Experience leveraging agentic coding and AI-assisted software engineering within AEM.
• Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including components, templates, workflows and OSGi.
• Proficiency in Java, J2EE and related web technologies.
• Frontend skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and modern frameworks.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• AEM deployment, performance optimization and scalability.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain technical concepts.
• AEM certifications such as ACE or ACA are a plus.
• Knowledge of OS, relational databases, data integration tools and web solutions.
• Knowledge of testing methods and tools for web technologies.

Responsibilities

• Engages stakeholders marketing teams to identify required AEM capabilities and downstream impacts.
• Translate functional requirements into scalable AEM solutions.
• Develop and maintain AEM design documentation including architecture diagrams and data models.
• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate AEM with enterprise systems and third-party apps.
• Lead the design and architecture of AEM solutions aligned with business objectives and best practices.
• Collaborate with on-site and off-shore resources; lead technical design sessions and mentorship.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in AEM development processes.
• Participate in code reviews, performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Proactively monitors AEM for SOP, audit, security and industry best practices.
• Stay current with AEM updates and recommend platform enhancements.
